Scott Wolfe
Raised in Las Vegas, Scott started playing the Cello at 7 years old but soon found out he regrettably had no talent (or perhaps patience) for the instrument. Eventually, with his love of music still intact, he was introduced to Leo Cameron, a drum teacher who had played in some of the best known Big Bands of the era. Leo was fantastic and got Scott headed down the very drumming path that he's still on some 40 years later.
In the mid to late 1960’s, Scott joined Sioux Uprising, a local Vegas Rock band that was eventually inducted in the Las Vegas Rock and Roll hall of fame. Scott has been privileged to be in bands that opened for artists like the Doors and Eric Burton and the Animals, along with others. With a growing resume, he moved on to club acts and recording sessions for various labels.
In 1974 Scott played a "six week" tour of Europe that actually lasted 27 years and brought him to Sweden. There, Scott enjoyed additional studio work and once again added to his resume by lending his percussion skills to a musical theater group. He also worked with a Swedish country artist that toured the Netherlands, Belgium and Denmark.
These days, Scott is working with the Janet Rucci Band, and we're glad to have him. On occasion, he spreads the joy by helping new artists learn old tricks!
